i think he is not very nice and has a bit of the devil in him.

ReplyDeleteI think that Amontillado is an evil man that wants to get revenge for nothing and he probably has a little of the devil in him.
ReplyDeleteMontresor most values his revenge, because he is clever and tricky and obviously thinks thinks through his plans to be evil and kill old "friend."
ReplyDeleteI think Montresor is crazy and focuses on the little things too much. it is clear that fortunato does not think that he has harmed Montresor, but Montresor is hurt enough to murder Fortunato.

ReplyDeleteI think Montresor does feel bad about what he is doing, but he tries to ignore it. At the end, he says his heart grew sick, but he says it was due to the dampness of the catacombs. He can't stand the idea of his whole, "wonderful" murder being a bad thing.
