ReplyDeleteFortunato died while beeing drunk which is one of the worst, dumbest ways to die, although Montresor seemed to care whenter he died or not at the very end, when he had no reply he became sad, though he carried on with his task.

ReplyDeleteThey are both insane. Montressor is insane from when Fortunato insulted him. Fortunato went insane at the end, when he was chained to the wall. Montressor ENJOYED Fortunato's suffering and death, and Fortunato believed that it was all a joke. So, they are all crazy! And now one of them is dead. Montressor is insane and will now go to the funny farm...
